welcomes new students in study program
"Automotive Engineering"

Study program Automotive Engineering is offered by Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Transport and Aeronautics (MTAF), Riga Technical University. Study program is managed by RTU MATF Transport Institute. The study program is accredited for maximum length possible. The next accreditation will take place when decided by the new accreditation system developed by Ministry of Education.

Number of students who's studies are funded by state budget is approved annually.
In 2018 45 budget study places for bachelor studies and 16 for master studies are allocated.

Self paying students are also enrolled in the professional bachelor program "Automotive Engineering". Study fees are determined annually, they are payable in several installments.

Students with the best study results may apply for scholarship. Unfortunately state scholarship is received by very few students. There are several scholarships from business companies. During senior study years and especially in masters program many students are full time employed in parallel to studies.

Many students coming from outside Riga live in student dormitories. Some students choose to rent private rooms.
